Steering column switches

Steering column switches 2002 Explorer
Does anyone know what the two blue switches in the steering column on a 2002 Explorer are called that work with position of the gear shift lever? I think one allows the key to be removed from the ignition when the car is turned off but I'm not sure what the other one does. Thanks!
