I just scored a 79 Ford Fairmont Squire Wagon. Been garaged for the last 15 years perfectly straight , interior is a 9/10 , and 31K original miles. Having a friend completely go through and tidy things up. Steering column was busted from an attempt at stealing the car prior to my possession. What other models does a 79 Ford Fairmont Squire Wagon Steering Column interchange with ? I have heard so far that the Zephyr , Futura , Possibly Capri ,and Mustang . Can anyone help me? This baby purrs like a kitten and I want to get it road worthy. Just need a new column would like to keep original. Thanks for your time in advance.
