Hi this is my first time posting on here I was wondering if anyone could help me I am having an issue where my truck won’t reverse and will only move forward at first it was just a grinding sound but then one day at the the store I couldn’t reverse and had to end up forcing it and when it finally went it made a loud scraping sound. And with the roof it’s been sitting for some months and a tree ended up falling on it and now it leaks water from the roof when it rains any ideas on both would be nice and is it even worth it trying to fix it back up

 

Without physically checking the trans , it is difficult to offer anything worthwhile.

Not having any idea of the extent and location of the roof damage not smart to throw out just any suggestions. Can you possibly post a pix?

If you cannot , maybe you you could try to explain where you think the water is getting in.
Last but certainly , not least, only you know the condition of your vehicle and how much you want to keep it. Is there any way you might get an estimate from a body shop ?
Many times it is preferred to make a few repair payments than those never ending new car payments.
