1979 stock 351m piston to valve clearence?
OK, I know this is kinda cheating but one thing i learned is to safe yourself time and effort and learn from what other people have done! With that being said, Does anyone know for a fact! What the piston to valve clearance is on a stock 351 modified V8? And what is the best cam that I can run with out having to change the head? I am already planning on doing the springs and timing chain and all that other fun stuff I just want to run the stock heads! Sorry if this a repeat question but i can't find any other threads about this!

I don't know the exact answer, but I may be able to point you in the right direction...
If you know what cam or have an idea of what cam you want, see if you can find it on the Summit website. If they carry it, you can contact them via email to see if it would work with your application. They are usually good at getting back to you in a day or two. You may even email them to ask which cam they recommend for what you want to do.
Hope that helps.
