So, I have a 89 F-150 4x4 with a 5speed. Awhile back it got stuck in gear, I took the top plate off today and messed with it (put everything in neutral) and got it to shift. My question is, is there supposed to be some type of bushing on the forks in the top plate or is it just metal to metal? I don't want to put everything back together and it just do it again. The parts store didn't offer anything for it.
