ive got a 1990 ford f150 4x4 with the manual transfer case i dont have the linkage hooked up at the moment my problem is when i move the linkage by hand it seems like its not goin into 4 hi. i believe there are 4 shift points if im not correct feel free to correct me but as far as i know there should be 4 shift points and i only have 3. it goes from 2hi to nuetral to 4low if anyone could help i would greatly appreciate it...

 

is it possible my transfer case never had 4hi or could i have a broken syncro in the transfer case? id appretiate any information...
