1991 F150 A/C wiring diagram
Looking for a simple drawing for the wiring of the A/C unit in this vehicle. Wrote earlier and received a technical wiring diagram but I do not know how to read those. My issue is what looks like a high pressure switch attached to the top rear of the compressor has two wires coming out of it. They have been cut and I cannot find where they were cut from. I am looking to reconnect them as I believe this is why the A/C does not blow cold air.
Please help,
Harley

Can you post your diagram on this site? May be able to assist you since I can't find mine for 91 F150 ?
The circuit sometimes goes from the A/C switch to the cycling pressure switch then to the hi pressure cut off switch then to the magnetic clutch.
If you can post that diagram it would help providing it has the A/C wiring on it.

Thanks way2old.
From what I can see on the diagram they don't use or show a hi press cut-off switch.
That may be another compressor that has been installed from a year they used the hi press cut-off.
One fast check that can be done would be to jump the 2 wires on the cycling switch with the A/C turned on, (for 2 seconds approx) and if the mag clutch engages might indicate a low refrigerant charge. Don't jump the wires for a longer time unless you are adding refrigerant. The right way to check this is with a set of A/C gauges or at least one gauge to show low side pressure.
