I have a 1994 with an E4OD 2 wheel drive.

Driving down the road and suddenly truck loses power/downshifts and light pops up on dash saying I'm in Low Range.



Any suggestions?

 

I think i know what your talking about though, i had some similar problems with my truck. I would check/ replace the neutral safety switch. I replaced it because they were known to go fairly often, and it still did it sometimes. I inspected it again, and found that a couple wires had dried out, and cracked a lil bit so i fixed them, and it worked just fine, and i never had a problem again. Good luck.
