hi guys ! i have a 1996 ford f-150 4x4 and i need to change the headlight bucket on the drivers side ! i raised the hood, took out 2 screws on top, took out the reservoir for the radiator and washer fluid ! i can pull the chrome trim out some but it won,t come off ! i figure once it,s off i could remove the bolts that holds the headlight assembly ! the battery is on the passenger side so i don,t have to fool with that ! what i need to know how does the headlight bucket comes out ? mine is all faded on the inside and is dim ! i can get another bucket if i can only get mine out ! thanks guys !

 

Since you are going to have to change the bucket anyway, I would get the replacement , look at what it comes with and then take that much out when replacing it.

 

thanks hanky ! but i need to know how to take the outside chrome trim off of mine on the drivers side ! i took the 2 screws out on top but it still won,t come off !
