1997 ford f150
Ok people I have a 1997 ford f150 xlt 4x4. It as the 4.6. I got in it the other day the starter dragged when starting and just quit. Turn the key and nothing. The truck fires up at the firewall solenoid.
I tried to drive it but the pcm but the truck in limp mode. I have replaced the firewall solenoid, starter and the neutral safety switch. Same result turn key and nothing. Check engine light is on and gives codes a flows. Torque converter clutch circuit electrical, transmission range sensor circuit high, shift solenoid a and b. Does ANY BODY have any advice?

The PCM will not keep the starter from cranking. Did you jump across the solenoid or did you apply 12v to the small connector to energize the solenoid? I suspect a wiring issue between the ignition switch and the solenoid or the ignition switch itself. I would address the cranking issue first then the stored codes. It is very rare to have a problem with the neutral start switch but the wiring is possible.
