1998F150 power windows etc. won't work??
Hey guys
My 1998 F150 has 248,000 miles on it. Recently the power windows, windshield wipers, door chime, and courtesy light all quit working. I have looked at the fuses in the passenger compartment and the power distribution box and they seem to be ok. Which ones am I looking for and what else could it be?? It would make me think they are all somehow connected, or at least I hope so!
Thanks for the feedback.

Welcome dear on a forum. Check the ignition switch connector at the base of the steering column. Chances are it's burnt and distorted. If so, replace the switch and the connector. By switch, I mean the electrical portion at the base of the column, not the cylinder at the top.

The GEM/CTM (generic electronic module/ central timer module) has all the listed devices/features in common and are GEM controlled functions. It should have the GEM checked for codes to see if any DTC's are stored, or a possible direction..

Through a little research, I thought this may be the problem. How do I check to see if they're are codes for the GEM? If they're were codes, would I just need to replace the GEM itself?
It will need to go to someone that has diagnostic scan capability to check for GEM codes. Getting the code definitions if any would be the first step for direction. Quite a few variables or possibilities involving the GEM. Given there history, a possible cause, but you don't want to replace good parts...
My serial number is:
F75B-14B205-MB
If so, how do I know which ones are compatible?
Thanks
I just received/responded to your PM. Part number F75B-14B205-MB is an engineering number for service part number F75Z-14B205-MA. That part supersedes to the newest remanufacture number EL3Z-14B205-BRM (EL3Z14B205BRM | FL Body Control Module) and unfortunately that part number is on a nationwide backorder with no ETA due to a core shortage. From my experience parts like this are typically on backorder for an extended period of time. I apologize about the inconvenience that I am sure this causes.
