Default 2001 Ford F-150

In march I bought a 2001 F-150. It had 113k on it. Now at about 114.5k when you put on the brakes, the truck vibrates. I have been told that that was the rotors. Then, today, as I am giving it some gas it jumps up to 4000 RPM then goes make down. What should I do? Does this mean the truck is going down hill? Should I try and sell it?

Rotors are the most likely cause of braking vibrations. Transmission issues can cause abnormal increases in engine speed. It would depend on how aggressively you were accelerating. It might be normal.
