2004 f-150 4.6 accelerator response
Hoping to find a little help on here so i can save some time and money.
my 04 f150 stopped responding to my accelerator pedal a little while back and i'm just now getting around to trying and fix it. When the accelerator is pushed all the way to the floor the truck does absolutely nothing. I've replaced the TPS and the Throttle actuator that contains the small DC motor and pinion gear and i've also taken the throttle body off to see if there was anything wrong with the plate. before i went to throwing new parts at it the truck idled around 900 rpms and was smooth. now that ive replaced all the electronic parts around the throttle body it idles rough and jumps from 700 to 900 rpms. i assume this might be bc the trucks computer and my throttle actuator are out of sink at the moment, and the truck still has no response to my gas pedal... the truck has an edge chip installed and i can use it to run a diagnostics test and it sent me back 3 codes.... Throttle actuator control system - forced idle, Throttle actuator control module processor, Throttle actuator control system - forced limited (RPM).... any ideas where i can go from here..
Thanks in advance
Hope this is an easy and cheap fix
