2007 F150 Instrument Cluster Stopped Working
I have a 2007 Ford F-150 XL
The other day the instrument cluster stopped working. None of the gauges or odometer work. It illuminates and the warning lights work however. I’ve checked all the fuses and the wiring seems ok. Anyone else ever have this problem?
- single cab
- V6
- No power locks
- No power windows
- Base model

Remove these two trim panels that are highlighted, number 3 first, number 11 second. Then remove the instrument cluster.
Here is the wiring diagram, the pins circled in blue will only get power when the key is in certain positions, look at the highlighted ignition switch and follow the wires to determine that.
Here is also the connector faces for the cluster, Red dash next to pins with 12V, Black dash next to pins with ground.
You can use a voltmeter and have one lead on the ground battery terminal when checking the wires for 12V or you can use a ohm meter with one lead on the positive battery terminal when checking the wires for 12V. Flipped that around for ground wires.
