I am looking to purchase a 2009 2WD King Ranch that has a tow package according to the dealer. My question is...does the tow package include a transmission cooler and a larger radiator or is the standard tow package only the tow hitch and wiring?

 

One thing you can do is plug your Vin# in at Ford.com to get the specs....

 

The towing package has a larger radiator, heavier cooling fan, larger shocks, wiring and pre wired for trailer brakes.

 

Thanks tomcat5 and way2old. I did look up the vin number on ford.com, but it only tells me the very basics. It does not identify if the truck has navigation, tow package, etc. I also looked at the radiator, cooling fan and shocks but I don't know enough about what the "standard" radiator, cooling fan and shocks look like to say that the ones on my truck are larger. I did see that there is a small radiator in front of my big radiator which I assume is for the transmission cooler and perhaps a part of the "tow package".

 

You are correct. There may even be a power steering cooler. Good luck with the truck.

 

If I remember correctly, the 09 had either sync or the nav unit, but I don't think it had both.
