Keep an eye out for my directional signal custom installation in the mirrors. I will create a thread for that on here when I install it.

I ended up getting a repair manual for the truck. I started to remove and install the new steering wheel. As I was reading through it, I came to the conclusion, removing it myself may not be a good idea and may it void my warranty if I do it myself.

So, I went by Jordan Ford to have them remove the old one and install the new one. They told me that I had to drop it off and or make an appointment. I tried for the weekend again but they said they don't have anyone to do the programming. So I have to do it during the week. I dropped it off tonight. They told me they would work on it tomorrow if they can get to it and that they have 12 other cars in front of me. I was like what?

So, I play the waiting game. Hopefully they will get it done. It is going to cost me $106 - $165 to have them replace the wheel and $90 to program it. I wasn't happy when they said that but I would rather pay that then to mess something up or void my warranty. I will give an update soon.

Its done! I have cruise control! They called me this morning to let me know they were taking it in earlier to work on it. This was around 9am. Suddenly at 10:30am, I received a call from Jordan Ford telling me that it was ready to pick up. I am so excited. It works great. The light on the dash comes on. It sets, increases speed, decreases speed, and finally turns it off and on just like the factory. Very happy. I did end up spending $196 for the steering wheel install and programming. Well worth it though I think!

I haven't got over the air bag being charcoal and the wheel being black though... hopefully it doesn't drive me crazy.

Default I think this thread is complete!

It seems like everyone who has posted here has cruise control now. It's been a long time coming.
Congrats to everyone now, just don't trade it in.

COOL! OK now I'll have to see if they will make an appointment so I can drive down from Austin and git 'er DUN! Thanks for sharing your experience. Let us know how it affects gas mileage on the highway. I just bought new tires and went slightly larger Geolander Yokohama p265 16 r17 instead of the factory Michelan p255 16 r17 and put them on a set of stock FORD 4x4 alumunum wheels I bought for $100 over a year ago. Really spruces the plain jane XL up but I worry about losing gas mileage because I was getting 22-23 on the interstate driving 75-80mph. Making another long trip soon, so we'll see. Let us know if your gas mileage changes dramatically.

Again CONGRATS!!

DUDE! Two-Tone Retro look!! That wheel looks like an upgrade from mine, looks like leather wrapped with that stitching! You may have started a new trend!!! My replacement wheel only has the cruise buttons. Do your volume buttons work too???

Plus what is that on the dash? The Starship Enterprise Headset? Make it SO! Number One..... Aye aye Captain Picard.....

Periphial makes a volume afapter for after market radios that im going to install. The guys at ford said if i had the factory radio it plugs right up and works. The blue toothe buttons are also plug and play with the facotory radio of the radio has it. Not all the factory radios jave it. Periphial has a module that combines them into one harness for after market and depending on the radio goes through a fm modulator or an input on the radio

I noticed before the cruise control i get 17.1 mpg now i get 17.6. I also noted i fill up about every four days. I just his 6 days and had to fill up. The cruise control has helpped considerably. I am very pleased with it.

I love my BlueAnt. Simple and is all voice activated. Turn it on when you get in car and off when you leave. Nothing to fumble with or stick in your ear.
