Default 2013 Ford F-150 XLT 6.2 Transmission problems

My 2013 F-150 just hit 70,000 miles the other day. I am now experiencing transmission problems. While driving it will jump from 3rd gear to 5th gear and remain in 5th until I turn the vehicle off and start it again. During this it sometimes losses all power and won’t accelerate, it also losses power in the dash and nothing works while bringing up the little wrench light. It will also slam into gears when it does decide to work. Please if anyone has any info on what it is and where I can start I’d appreciate it. I’ve read things of others having the same problem and taking it to the dealer only to pay a huge bill and have it continue doing the same. Any help is appreciated!

Could be a TCM (Transmission Control Module) malfunction. That's what most of our problems always go towards. I'd take to a local dealer and tell them you ONLY want a diagnosis.

It sounds like it is going into limp mode and that could involve quite a bit. I believe you rec'd good advice from MotorcraftMechanic.
