Default 2006 f150 transmission

Hi all,
I have a f150 2006 lariat 5.4 with 81000 miles. About a week ago my truck's transmission started to fail once I shift to "D" when I press the gas from a complete stop. It takes time to accelerate. After the first gear goes through, the rest of the gears go smoothly. Also when I put it on reverse I notice a noise like some pieces of metal are loose inside. Any feedback anybody?

Does it have the same delay in other gears like L, R ?

Yes it does. I also just took it for a drive and I notice that when I put it on reverse and release the gas pedal, it stops like when you push hard on the brakes, but I was never pressing the brake pedal. It feels like I pulling something heavy in both directions.

Your description at this time might suggest checking if the rear brakes are dragging.
Is there any way you can raise the rear wheels and see if they are free to rotate and if OK, check the front wheels also.

I notice that when I drive on cold engine there's no issues, it drives with not pulling or braking hard on reverse.

It just throw me two codes. P0712 & P1783. Transmission oil is a little black and smells burnt.
