Hello everyone. I am new to this forum. I have a 2016 F150 4x2 crew cab 2.7L V6 Sport that does not have a back-up camera. I am shocked at 1st that this very nice and expensive truck has no b/u camera. I have checked under the bumper at the wire harness coming from the tailgate. It has a label on it marked GL3T-14B562-KA. There are two wires connecting. There are 4 other small black plastic tubes sticking out (but not going into the connector) with the 2 wires. They look like ends of wires, but they look fake. Why would Ford make a wire harness with 2 real wires and 4 fake ones? I cannot find this exact part online to get answers. I have access to a 2016 F150 4x4 V8 that is unsafe to drive due to catastrophic electrical problems (codes, ECM, Module, and steering issues). It has a backup camera. Would it be wise/compatible to take this b/u camera (+ latch and wiring) and install it on my 2016 F150 4x2? Would it be worth it? Would it be better to purchase an OEM b/u camera system instead? Mind you, I don't have a lot of $$$. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you and God bless.
