I just purchased a used 2017 f150 xlt. The truck was an Enterprise rental truck. It has the 4.2" display for the radio and has no backup camera. I was wondering if I could replace that with the 8" sync2 display and radio unit. Is this a plug and play setup or would I have to have it programmed by ford or a third party? Form what is can find online it looks like ford used the same screen for almost everything. I know that I will have to find the APIM for 2015 TO 2018 F150. Secondly, I would like to do the same thing with the instrument cluster as well. Any help will be appreciated greatly. And finally, I would like to say what a great truck this new ford is. I have owned fords all my life. I currently have a 1977 ranchero gt and a 1981 ranger pickup that has a 460 in it and dets on 40" mudders.
