Default 87 f150 lights

i have a 87 f150 and the lights started flickering one time but stopped. the next day they didnt work at all and the door buzzer and raidoi all quite working at the same time. the only lights i have are brake lights, and signals. i put a new light switch and dimmer switch and checked all the fuses but have no idea what else to check and im desperate to get this fixed. thanks

Do you have a test light available to use? If so with the test light connected to a good ground , I would suggest that you check each fuse on both sides to make sure you don't have a poor connection at the fuse panel and it will also let you know if you have power available at the fuse panel. You could also use the light to confirm that you are or aren't getting power to the light switch and then to the headlights themselves. If all that checks out OK then check the ground connections starting from the battery to all the places to make sure the sheet metal has good ground connections. Someplace in those checks you will find an interruption in either the power supply to the lights or the ground paths. Let us know what you find. Thanks

You might want to check that dangling wire and closely examine the positive battery terminal or the negative terminal and (if the terminals are original) look for a broken connection. It might save you some time determining where the wire came from.
It could also be one of the ground wires to the sheet metal of the vehicle. Look around for the terminal with no wire connected to it.
After looking at your pix, that is an additional ground wire that should be connected to the negative terminal of the battery.

I should have checked your pix first. That wire is an additional ground wire that should be connected to the battery negative terminal.

The black pigtail on the negative battery cable is a lot of times 'standard' for a replacement ground cable. Depending on application, sometimes they are just nipped off, but you could extend the wire over to the fender appron ground attacment. You don't normally see a ground onto the radiator core suppport and could be just removed.
