Default 89 F150 with rough idle

I've got an 89 F150 with the 302 with over 160,000 miles on it. It sometimes takes a couple of cranks for the truck to start up. Its fuel injected, but I have to mash the gas to warm it up like it was carburated. I have recently changed the plugs and wires and had the fuel injectors cleaned. I didn't replace the distributor cap or rotor. Could replacing the cap and rotor make the truck idle smoother or could it be something else? Thanks.

Sure, fuel filter, clean out the throttle body, a new cap and rotor should help as well. Also a possibilty that part of the speed density system might be dirty.
