Default 91 F-150 / reverse battery

Sorry if this is 2nd time..New to this. a tec reversed my pos/neg/ on battery. I heard a loud bang and saw smoke from the engine. After getting new battery, solenoid, starter, alternator, and wiring my truck does not run the same. anything they might have missed? also loud chirping from engine and when I spun alternator pulley. Is this supposed to happen? 91 f150 v8 302 auto 2wd

Generally when the battery polarity is reversed the fusable links will burn, causing the smoke you witnessed..
The fact that it cranks, runs, would seem that they didn’t burn, unless they were relplaced?
The chirping, could be an idler, tensioner for the belt etc, or possibly Alt. If the new Alt is making the noise, something is wrong with it.
For the ‘does not run the same’ how so? Can you better explain..
Any CEL? Does it have a stable idle, misfire/s, or, poor basic drivability, flat throttle/hesitation etc?

Default reversed battery #2

My truck now takes longer to turn over after the engine is warm. Sometimes 3 cranks. And when it idles seems like it wants to stall but then it gets a sharp increase in idle and revs normally.
