Default 93 F150 stalling...help

I found my ballast resistor wire broke and grounding on the valve cover of my 93 F150. Could this cause any running/drivability problems? The truck seems to have a mind of it's own...lol... somes times it stalls and is hard to restart, sometimes it starts, idles and runs fine but then it will stall or have a terrible miss. I have looked at everything, it happens so sparatically that I can't find the problem. I have checked and replaced several sensors. I thought it was only a cold start problem but then after a 30 minute drive it started acting up again. I am ready for some advice....can anybody help?

Oh yea, plugs, wires, cap and button,TPS,EVP and I just put the IAC on it. So far so good but I am waiting to see if I cured the problem. When I replaced the TPS & EVP I thought I had it but it started acting up again. I have noticed that it does run better with the new IAC.
