Default Air Filters, Spark plugs

I am going to replace the air filter and spark plugs in a F-250 light duty just wondering what kind to get? Does anyone know if the expensive air filters are worth it?

I've had the True-Flow air intake system in my 07 FX2 and I've noticed a huge difference in power and a slight difference in MPG gain. Check out their website and watch the Product Video. http://www.trueflow.com/video_1.php

I looked at my owners manual on mine and it calls for double platinum. I'd definitly check yours and see what they call for. Putting in the wrong style plugs could cause problems.

Thank for the info. What brand of sparkplugs is recomended? I've had trouble with Champion. Does anyone know if there is a big difference in performance between Fram Air Hog and K&N air filters I am still not sure what to get.

I personally like K&N filters. As for your spark plugs I would go with Motorcraft plugs which you can get for a good price at www.discountedgenuinefordparts.com

I've heard that K&Nafter 80,000oil cakes up with dust and chunks of it can get trapped in the MAF. I've also heard that they are mainly for diesel engine and that there is no real improvements they can make on a gasoline engine without recalibrating the airflow sensor. Noticed any difference in torque with the K&N? I've never used one but I am looking for a new air filter just not sure which one to get yet.
