Default Brake pedal squeek?

Reecently my brake pedal started squeeking once it was about halfway depressed. The squeek starts about half way & continues to the end of pedal movement.(my front brake pads were at the end of their life & close to needing to be changed). I changed my front rotors & pads. Rotors were turned once before & were grooved a little so I changed them.
My brake pedal still squeeks the same as before I changed the brake pads & rotors. What could be the cause & how do I fix it?
I have a 2004 FX4 super crew w/ 72,000 mi.

WOW...
It's not a squeek from lack of oiling...It's a squeek that seems to be caused by the brake system or whatever connects the foot pedal to the brake system. It seems like the brake pedal is not as stiff as it should be. It depresses a little too easy & at halfway down, it creeks or squeeks (hard to describe). It just doesn't seem as solid as it use to when I press the brake pedal???

Default RE: Brake pedal squeek?

Had the same type issue with my 2004 Freestar at about 51,000 miles. Would groan/squeek when the brakes groan when applied. It'swasn't your normal pad/rotor squeel. It onlydidit when you are applying more pressure to come to a complete stop. It will also do this when just setting in park and applying and releasing the the brakes. It sounded like a rubber bushing being twisted back and forth. There'swas no adverse affects to braking ability. All caliperswere working fine with even pad/rotor wear. The noise seemed to eminate out from under the dash and echo out thru the diver's side wheel well. I thought it was a possible brake booster or master cylinder problem. Brake pedal movement didn't feel right for me either.

This is what I did to eliminate the problem and it has been gone for the past 3,500 miles.

Pulled the front calipers, pads and brackets off. Slider pins were free and easy moving. Removed, cleaned and re-greased them. Cleaned the stainless pad mounts and caliper supporting areas. Applied a thin coat of hi-temp synthetic grease to pad ears and slides. Also applied a thin coat of grease on the face of the piston where it meets the pad. Re-assembled and all is quiet. Suspect the problem was the surface rust/dust between the inner pad and caliper piston causing a metal to metal grinding noise which was then amplified via the wheel well.
