Default Crank good, 50/50 starting the engine

hey every one.... first thanks for taking a look at my question and for any suggestion. i have a 99 F150 V6 truck. i'm not mechanically incline so i'll describe as best as i can.... the problem is that when i turn the key to start the truck it makes the "crank" noise to try to start, but the engine won't start.. i tried turning the key at least ten to twelve times and would start afterwards, but after a half an hour, the whole process begins all over again. it would take less time to start if i put the truck in neutral. i have a starter kill alarm with remote start. use that to start a couple of times and it works on the first try. battery is fully charge. spark plugs were changed recently. friends say that its not the starter and probably not the alternator. mechanics are saying, well actually, mechanics aren't saying anything because they're all off untill the tuesday after fourth of july. please help. no truck means, no work, no money, no savings on the side for 05 ford lightning. thanks everyone, dcarpenter.
