Default F-150 351w won't start after rain!!!!

Alright folks I could use some guidance on fixing the issue with my truck. I have a 92' F-150 351w. When the weather is dry the truck will start every time. After a heavy rain it might start but more times then not it won't. Sometimes the distributor cap has some moisture but I don't see any cracks. I have sprayed it down with WD-40 some on the inside and coated the outside. So could the distributor be drawing moisture? Or could it possibly be the ignition switch? I'm stumped on this

There are checks you can do, you only need a test lite to do some.
Place the probe of the test lite on the coil primary terminal and confirm power is always available at the coil with the key on.
I have seen where there was considerable salt dust on the coil terminals that when it got damp the coil didn't have the voltage to produce the spark.
When it will not fire up remove the coil wire from the dist cap and see if you are getting a healthy blue spark when that coil wire is placed about a quarter inch from a good ground, with the starter cranking over the engine suggest you place it there not holding it.
If you get a good spark , all that is left are the cap, rotor, wires or plugs with carbon tracks on them. Even though , engine should start with some plugs questionable.
Let us know what you find and we can go from there if necessary.
