Default F-150 Radio

So I'm looking at buying a used F-150. My question is if I buy one that has the standard radio then go out and harvest one off of a junk yard F-150 that is touch screen with Sync would it be possible to do? And what might I need besides the radio out of the dash?

Year of vehicles can be the deciding factor. You didn't state which years and that can be extremely important especially if the radio is part of a network on the vehicle.

Let's say both are 2018. But is it possible and what would I need from donor truck?

I don't know if it can be done without using the entire wiring harness because I don't know if the receiving vehicle will run or start without the radio being introduced to the network of the receiving vehicle. You might get a more accurate answer if you checked with a dealership. Some things are plug and play and some are not.

We found a company that makes touch screen replacements for a lot of vehicles. We have a Chevy Cruze that looks like a Tesla dash. No CD player though. All blue tooth and hot spot. They also made it plug n play. Even all cameras and dash controls on touch screen.
It's been a couple months so I was wondering if you did find something
