Default f150 302 will turn over so much then clunk

Hey guys I'm new to this so bear with me because I've been working on my motor for so long and just can't figure out the issue. First off my 302 was running like butt and it was surging almost, then after each stop it would idle really badly especially if I stopped quick, so I decided to check all valves and give it a tune up because it hasn't been timed in a while. After the tune up I had to turn the key a bunch to turn the harmonic balance so it could be marked. After the tune up it just clunked, couldn't turn over ended up getting new battery and starter with solenoid. Was really frustrating so we drained oil that ended up being an extra quart of gas! After I drained it, I ran more thru to pull it but figured out it was a fuel regulator pulling gas hard thru intake and around to piston 5 making it hydro lock. The weird thing is how I turned crank underneath after I drained it then filled it up and changed injector on 5 just in case but now it just locked again like I left fuel in there? And it doesn't crank strong either..

Thumbs up

Welcome to the site.

Plugs removed, will it crank or rotate through?

I removed all plugs after i drained it then turned the crank all the way around multiple times. It got tight in cylinder 8 but it worked itself out then was fine. Put oil back in then I ran into fuel in cylinder 5 because of fuel pressure regulator so I changed that injector and regulator. Then put plugs on then couldn't start but my battery might have been low. And possibly there's still fuel that is in the piston? I removed the plugs again and turned crank and it got stuck on 5 but then fuel came out and I just decided to charge battery.
