Default F150

I have a 2000 ford f150 with a Triton VI 2wd. The overdrive light flashes and it looses power after it warms up. Can anyone tell me the problem?

Usually when the OD light is flashing, it has noticed a trans problem. One of the things you might consider is to have the vehicle computer checked for codes. There should be a code or codes in the memory that should direct you to the area with the problem. Some places like Autozone will do this for you at no charge..

Sometimes when it feels the vehicle seems to have reduced power that could be the trans is trying to save itself by going into what we call LIMP MODE. Power is automatically reduced to prevent damage that could take place with full power. If you can provide the code(s) we should be able to at least offer some assistance. When the key is turned off the computer resets and it could explain why it has to warm up to notice the problem.
