Unhappy f150 brakes

i have a 97 f150, it has disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear, i had new pads and shoes installed about a month ago. today when i left work it felt like my brakes were on while i was driving. i could really notice it when i made slow turns. could this be my calipers or somthing to do with the rear brake drums?

my emergency brake does not work, i'm not sure if the cable is broken, it hasnt worked for awhile, do u think somehow this could have locked up and set the emergency brake? If the back drums are set wrong, is that a big deal to change? in my bmw one of my front calipers was sticking and it made my car shake when i went to stop, my truck doesnt shake when stopping but i do notice that i dont have to push on them as much to stop it seemed like they are already slightly depressed?

Default Self Adjusting Rears

Back up in a straight line for a distance at 15 to 25 mph and apply the brakes. Do this several times. It resets the adjusters in the rear drums. This should fix the problem. Works on drums only. Also check to see if your E brake cable is not jammed and lubricate.

If this does not work then you need to remove the wheel, the drum and rotate the adjusters (between shoes on the bottom) in the proper direction.

Disc issues are much different. Usually the pads were not installed with the chatter clips and the pad drops out of the caliper or they were put in backwards. Also the caliper may be worn and is not releasing completely. You will need to replace it. What condition are the discs in? They should be perfectly smooth with no groves or ridges inside or out.
