i have a f150 swb 4x4 with a 4.2 motor it has a oil leak just came from the garage and cant seem to find it. it leaks quite a bit of oil i put lucas oil treatment in the engine 2 days ago and it slowed the leak down some......just wonderind if anybody else has had the same problem and can shed some light on this for me please.any help would be great....thanks, ps i have been going over the site looks like a great place

 

Many times the leak originates up at the top of the engine and runs down. It might pay to start looking from the top down.

 

thanks i have tried that and the garage as well hard place to look with everything is so tight under there but will not give up

 

Which side of the engine does it seem to be coming from? Driver's/ passenger's side?

 

seems to be driping from the middle but if i had to guess more of the driver side some one said it might be the main seal and that is a big job i guess
