Ford F-150 Fuel Pump
In the last three years I had to replace my 1992 F-150's front tank fuel pump about half a dozen times. The pump quits working but then starts working again later. The quitting becomes more and more frequent until the pump quits running for good. I have used pumps both from Auto Zone and O'Reilly. Has anybody else had this experience? Any ideas on what to do?
Many good fuel pumps get replaced because COMPLETE testing was not done.
Before replacing any fuel pump, it is wise to verify the pump is receiving proper power and ground. If there is any problem with those, a new fuel pump will suffer the same consequences.
