fuel system problems
i have a 1988 f150 with two gas tanks and i cant get my fuel lines to pressurize, and my inline fuel pump runs like its in overdrive, (i can hear it running over the engine and exhaust.) i just replaces all the pumps and the filters sevral times, i replaced my sylonoid but that was a differant problem but when i did replace that it seemed to have made the system pressurize and the loud noise go away. but that only lasted for a day and now its back to not having pressure and running really loudly.
any ideas?
any ideas?
I may be a little drunk right now, but it would seem that the fuel is being pumped just fine, its the small fuel manifold that's gone south with it's seals, or its leaking. Any fuel smell from under the vehicle?
no there isnt qny fuel smell coming from underneath the truck. sorry if nothing makes sense im kenda drunk also...
but besides the point what i think it is, is because i have two gas tanks, i think its the pump thing the switches the gas coming from each tank. i think thats pluged and its not supplying like it needs to, but i also think its a bad ground somewhere going to the inline pump itself. but other then that i have no idea.. but if you could inform me what you are talking about with the fuel manifold thing you are talking about so i could check it out and see if thats it.
thank you very much.
