Gage problems
I have a 2002 f150 5.4 service engine light came on took an had code pulled i think was p0125 which was coolant temp sensor replaced that done good for a day threw another which was cyclinder head temp sensor heat hand goes all the way to hot but when it does you can take radiator cap off not boiling, steaming or nothing an now also oil light is on but oil gauge says good oil pressure any help with this will be greatly appreciated im thinking some sensor maybe ????
After you run out of things to check, look under the driver's side of the dash at the fuse panel. I have seen some of the symptoms you describe , and there are others that defy explanation and it was attributed to moisture getting into that panel and letting the gremlins loose. The windshields leaked and corrosion provided paths for strange things to happen.

It depends on how hot it gets. The boiling point of coolant is much higher than water so the coolant would have to get pretty hot to boil and at that point you are likely doing other damage. I would follow up on the cylinder head temp sensor code next.
Well its good to hear that it is an inexpensive item. There are two possibilities, the sensor 3F1Z-12A648-A (#3F1Z12A648A: COOLANT TEMP SENSOR. Level sensor. Sensor. TEMP GAUGE SENDING UNIT. Temp) and the sender F65Z-10884-AA (#F65Z10884AA: Engine Coolant Temperature Sender.). Both of those fit the 5.4L motor.
