Ok so i have a 79 f150 ranger 4x4 with c6 trans. never had any problems with the trans before but for some reason my gear selector wont let me shift out of drive. if i kinda find the sweet spot i can force it into N. the sleeve that is on the column that the shifter sits on is really lose it feels like something broke inside. could it be the shifter rod that goes all the way down into my trans? or could it be something to do with steering wheel? what could i do to fix this? any suggestions? please help.
