Default Lift gate noises when closing(
Lift gate pops just before closing 2017F150

No experiencewith this complainant, might be worth removing tailgate, lubricating tailgate pivots and see if that fixes.

I’ll try spray the bottoms knuckle and the latch see what happens

If you hold the liftgate handle in the open position while you open and close it, if the noise is still present you know if its the hinge.

I don’t have a handle it’s a 2017 King Ranch it’s push button

I have the same thing happening with my 2016 s/crew, from the research I've done it's caused by the torsion rod inside.
