Question lift Kit

I own a 1999 ford f150 lariat 4x4 offroad, it has 127,000 miles on it. i want to put a 3" Performance Accessories body lift on it($213).

What are the Pros and Cons of doing this, Should i put a 2" body lift, will it mess up my truck, Help me please ????

Pros are you get more lift and ground clearance which gives better articulation in offroad situations.

Cons may be in trying to sell the truck. Not everyone wants a lift, but then again some do.

A lift shouldn't harm your truck.

Depending on what you plan to do with the truck with a lift will help determine how much you may need.

What's the reason for the lift, I would think it's to clear larger tires but if it's just to lift the truck and not slap some larger tires on I wouldn't go 3 inches I would go 1.5 - 2. reason being that I find that the trucks that do the 3 inch body lift and not put bigger tires on looks a little odd.

Pros... great if you wand to clear larger tires without rubbing fenders and rear quarters.

Cons... You have to make sure the e-brake cables are long enough, as well as the stearing linkage and so on.

Just my 2 cent's but I have lifted trucks and went down that route before.
