Default Metal heater/coolant hose corroded and leaking near firewall?

I just replaced my VCT solenoid, gasket, rockers, did a spark plug change and changed coils. After it was all back together and fired up I noticed a metal hose behind the passenger side firewall that was completely corroded and shooting out coolant. Was wondering where this hose goes and if it’s able to be cut out and replaced with couplings if it’s easier?

thanks in advance
