Default My F150 lariat

Hello all I'm new to this forum and was wondering if someone could possibly help me with ideas about my truck
I have a 2008 F 150 lariat with the 5.4 3 valve motor.....having issues atm with the transmission malfunction light and the code reader said its the shift solenoid A .....we replaced the check ***** in the valve body of the trans and changed the shift solenoid put it all back together took down the road and the same code is still popping up. Any ideas on if the computer needs to be reset or what else could be done...... i just want to be able to get back into my truck and drive it with no issues .......

The code doesn't specifically say replacing the solenoid will correct the problem.

What it does tell us is,,,,, the reading the PCM is getting is not within specification and that could mean anything that controls solenoid "A".
Now it is time to check all the connections and maybe it is something you can see . Electrical connections can be difficult to tell just by looking at them, they need to be verified with a good meter.
Also if for example the MLPS ,(Manual Lever Position Sw) was called neutral safety sw, is not functioning correctly , it could cause that code to come up. There a few other things to check and they are listed in the list of possible causes on up to a trans control module. The path the info takes needs to be checked and verified receiving the correct info as well as sending that correct info. So right now it might be a good start to check all wiring going to the trans where that signal eventually gets to sol A.

I should have mentioned this earlier.
When checking wires and plugs, keep a sharp eye out for any corrosion inside any plugs where most folks don't look
