i bought a 1994 F-150 that had a leak in the seal in the front of the rear differentail. i replaced the seal and think the leak is gone. the question is. while i was doing this task, i found that there was some play in the pinion. i check the baerings, in fact replaced the front one. is this normal or should i worry about it. i mean there has to be some where and tear but when i was done i put the truck in nuetral and set the park brake and there was quit a bit of play in the drive shaft. it is a 4x4 with a three inch body lift and 35 inch tires that barely fit, but a good looking truck. am i worryingfor nothing???
