Default Need a Cam!

I have a 76 F 150 and i need a cam! I have an edelbrock performer intake and a Carter AFB competition series carb. What would be the best cam with this set up. I am looking for power on the mountains and in the trails. Any info to point me in the right direction would be awesome. Thanks

I use a high lobe RV CAM in mine. (390). It gives me low end for off road,(4x4) and mid range for highway .

yeppers an RV cam is the safe's bet, as stated earlier. that way it dont give you lots of problems , Most folks tend to get the biggest baddest cam offered for their vechile an end up hating it. Having all kinds of driveability problems , the RV gives you the best of both . Its really surpizing what a few degrees of lift gives you making the motor breath better .
