i have the f150 harley 06 its a great pickup blah blah blah but it doesnt have enough pickup i dont know jack about cars but i know i want my truck to have some more horse power a few people have recommended the hypertech power programmer but others say it isnt worth it ,then other people are saying i need to start with an exhaust system SOMEONE LEND ME A HAND PLEASE I DONT KNOW WHY BUT PEOPLE LOVE TRYING TO RACE MY TRUCK AND IN ALL HONESTY ITS ANNOYING WHEN I JUST STRAIGHT OUT DONT HAVE THE PERFORMANCE TO DO SO WOULD REALLY LIKE TO CHANGE THAT IMMEDIATLY

It depends on how much you want to spend. [sm=gears.gif] HP cost money. You won't win a race against a chevy, dodge or the nissan with your stock truck. Ford is geared for towing. If your not wanting to spend a few grand then the best place to start with out a doubt is a programmer. I would not recommend the Hypertech. I have one and I'm going to post it on ebay. I now use the edge programmer. Yes money well spent. It really improve the shifting and lower power these trucks seem to lag. If that's not enough them try the electric fans. They remove the power robbing belt driven fan under the hood. The exhaust and a cold air intake in my opinion don't really give noticeable power. Now it you have a money tree then get a supercharger, turboor add [sm=nxsmile.gif] and change your gears for more off the line power. Any way you look at it you bought a truck not a race car. Don't plan on being the fastest on the block, you'll kill that nice new truck. Just remember, over all those other trucks out there yours is better in almost every way.
Btw, congrate on the new HD. Take good care of it. I justed ordered me a set of HD 22" wheels and I will have them on monday for my truck. I can't wait to see how it looks.

Start with the programmer before the fans. I think you will be very happy and may not feel a need to buy them so soon.

 

oh boy this is a challenge i see the edge i read alot of people complain about the newer model f150s with possible brake problems I NEED A CLEAR CUT EXPERT OPINION SOMEONE WHO CAN SAY YOU BUY THIS AND IT WORK CAVEMAN STYLE BABY WHERES THIS FRIGGIN HEX CODE?

 

Contact edge directly, they can help with that. Read those post and do a search on the forum their. There is a lot of great people their that can really help more than me. You will be very happy with either one you go with. The nice thing about edge is it give you the added gauges. If you decide on the Xcal-II Get Mike Troyer to custom tune it, He is the man when it come to custom tunes. Read up on those to programmers, ask the guys on F150online and get more opinions first. Yes, It's worth every penny it you buy either one of these programmers. You will have a big fat smile and your right foot will thank you to.
