new break switch and still cant shift out of park.
I was recently in the desert and i high centered on some sand. since than i cannot get into gear while the truck is running and i have no break lights. i just changed the break switch and all fuses are fine. all wiring is good that i can see. so i don't know whats wrong. before the trip i was messing around with the tow lights because they were acting up, any ideas?
After the swap on the brake pedal switch, did or have you tested there with a light/meter for 12v on the LG/R wire at the switch connector?
If you have no high mount stop either, could be the trailer adapter was damaged on the sand. If it shorted, if could pop the fuse for the shift lock..

i havent tested for power but i did check all the fuses and there all fine. even the ones in the hood. the tow light connection is all cut up from someone splicing the wires right into the trailer wires but it hasnt affected me till now. i do have a aftermarket trailer breaking system but dont know if that has anything to do with it.
