Default Not good with electronics and trouble shooting.

1997 F-150 5.4 4x4
Shut truck off, removed key from ignition. The radio stays on even after opening the door with key removed. Drains the battery.
How do I trouble shoot this and or fix it myself?

Sounds like it's staying in the on position.. can you check to make sure that the ign. is in the OFF position...

If you have the owner's manual, check in the "Specifications Section" near back of the book, and you will see 2 relays which you might want to check out.

Relay #2 is the battery saver relay
Relay # 5 is the accessory delay relay
There is a good possibility one of those is malfunctioning..
