We recently replaced the back panel of our panorama roof due to a rock chip at a local glass shop. When we went to pick up the vehicle..., it was obvious the tint of the new glass (brown/gray)did not match the factory glass of the front sliding panel(blue). We have been told that Ford has changed the manufacturer of the glass replacement and this is the only colour now available. They said our only option if we want to have the 2 pieces of glass to match is to change out the front panorama glass too. Why should I have to pay an extra $1000.00 plus to pull out glass that is fine? I would like to find the rear glass that has a blue tint ... the way it was manufactured originally. The part number is
JL1Z-16500AA18-A but it has to have a factory made date prior between 2014-10-20 thru 2015-06-23. The other dates that might have the blue tint could be 2015-06-23 thru 2018-04-24.
Tried everything I can think of from auto glass shops to junk yards. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
