Default Pre Collision

Is it possible that by having a bug shield on the front of my 2020 F150 Supercrew, that is effecting my pre collision system from working.

Yes, there are cameras and sensors in the windshield and rear view mirror. As a matter of fact there are sensors all over the place where , you can see and where you cannot see. If they tell you to keep your windshield clean , it is because the sensor needs to see where you are going and what is in front of you.

Your owner's manual should explain a lot about this safety system which is called ADAS ,(advanced driver assistance system)
If you remove the grill or front bumper for example , the system needs to be recalibrated AND not many places are equipped to do that type work.
If the calibration is disturbed, chances are it will not function as required. These safety features are great, but can be expensive to repair .Most new vehicles do now have them.

Based on where the sensors are its very unlikely a normal sized hood bug guard is causing issue with the pre collision system.
There is one sensor behind the front bumper and a camera in front of the rear view mirror.
