Default RE: radio

I was wireing a newer radio up in my 79 and after lots of pain staking troubleshooting, never finding out why it wouldnt work, I found out my antenna wire was bad.

Replace that and see if it fixes it. Everything grounds through that.

Dustin

You may need to try to run a new hot wire. In a lot of cases this will fix the problem. Also run a wire from the wire that is hot only when the key is on. Use a test light and find a fuse that is only hot when the key is on. You can then run the wire under it. Hopefully you can get it worked out. It is not impossible. I have put 2 in a 1986, 1 in a 1967, and 1 in a 1987 4X4. Good luck.
