Default Remote Start Question

The place that I took my 2007 F-150 for a price on a remote start told me that it needs a relay, is this true? And if so what's it for? Thanks for your time!

I probably shouldn't be trying to answer this question, but let's speculate a little OK ?
Since there is no known way to rotate the key tumbler to turn the key on and activate the start function it would seem to me that we can activate a relay quite easily with a radio signal and that relay would then provide power for the remote start system and also activate the start function. That might be the reason you might need a relay.
